If you find yourself at the point of wanting to make a change in your life and start exercising, one of the first questions you will ask yourself is whether it is necessary to go to a gym or you can start exercising on your own, at home.
We will begin by mentioning that, obviously, both options have their advantages and disadvantages (benefits of going to the gym), but we believe that in something as important as our health there are some variables that must be put before others, always taking into consideration that the most important option is the one that takes into account your own health.
And it is that, especially when we start exercising from 0 our body is not used to making a significant energy expenditure, and we can endanger our welfare if we go from 0 to 100 and perform an exercise above our capacity. This is something very typical, since we all start our journey with a lot of desire when we begin the path of physical health.
Obviously, and above all, it is better to exercise (either at home or in a gym) than not to do so, but each of the two options has certain particularities, which are worth reviewing.

This is probably the most outstanding advantage of training on our own. By not having to conform to the schedules of a gym, or even a personal trainer, we can practice sports when it suits us best, without depending on third parties. But... beware! This is also a double-edged sword: not having an "obligation" may cause us not to get up off the couch and get going.
PRICE
Above all, many of you will think, there is the price variable. The cost of being enrolled in a center can not be compared to the option of training on our own, as this is free, since there is nothing cheaper than training at home. But doing our training at home also inevitably results in less availability of equipment to be able to perform a complete workout. There is a huge asterisk here, and that is that training at home means that you don't have a professional at home to help you, and to follow up.

A SCHEDULE CAN BE A MOTIVATION
Although we may have to adapt our weekly routine to the schedules of a center, this may be precisely the fact that leads us to get up from our lethargy to start our routine. Staying at home can be a double-edged sword: not going out may cause us to invite ourselves not to train, entering an infinite loop.
BETTER FROM THE HAND OF PROFESSIONALS
Whether you are just starting to get in shape, as if you want to optimize some of your parameters as a fitness person, you must keep in mind that there is nothing better than training with a professional (in our case coaches), as they will know the strengths and risks that you and your body can have at any time, in each type of training. Ignorance of sports science can lead, in the worst case, to inopportune injuries or even serious consequences for our health.
THERE IS NO EXPENSIVE PRICE WHEN IT COMES TO HEALTH
At an economic level, and as long as you can afford it, our advice will always be to invite you to train advised by professionals. Although this implies adding another expense to your monthly economy, you will gain in safety and health, and health? you can't pay for it with money!
